The face shape detector on FaceCalculators uses MediaPipe Face Landmarker to classify face shape from 478 mapped facial landmarks. Under optimal conditions, including good lighting, a high-resolution camera, and correct head positioning, the model achieves a confidence score of up to 96 percent. Results vary depending on lighting quality, camera resolution, head angle, and in manual measurement mode, the accuracy of the measurements entered.
The tool is an informational classification aid. It is not a clinical measurement device. Results are indicative and should not be used for medical, surgical, cosmetic procedure planning, or professional diagnostic purposes.
