The Classification Foundation
Every piece of editorial content on FaceCalculators originates from the same framework used by the face shape detection tool: a set of facial proportion ratios derived from the MediaPipe Face Landmarker’s 478-point landmark model. Style recommendations, product guidance, and category comparisons are all grounded in these ratios. A recommendation is valid only if it maps to a specific proportional characteristic of the face shape it targets. Proportions determine the recommendation. Trends do not.
How Articles Are Researched
Each article is written by the correspondent assigned to that content category, as defined in the team’s editorial beat structure. The correspondent researches the style principles relevant to the face shape and category, identifies the proportion logic that connects the recommendation to the shape’s geometry, and drafts the article. No claim is published without a traceable proportion rationale.
For technical articles covering the detection tool or AI methodology, Mehmood Ikram reviews source documentation from the MediaPipe project and cross-references specifications with the tool’s implemented behavior on the site before publication.
Accuracy and Corrections
If a published article contains a factual inaccuracy, readers can report it through the contact page with the article URL and the specific claim in question. Corrections are reviewed within five business days. If a correction is confirmed, the article is updated and a correction note is added at the bottom of the page with the correction date and a description of what changed.
Updates and Review Cycle

What This Site Does Not Cover
Beard styling and eyebrow shaping are excluded from the editorial scope by decision. No articles in these categories are published and no content pipeline runs are conducted for them. This exclusion is permanent unless reversed by an explicit editorial decision.
